Sotones Records off-kilter beard rockers Moneytree are currently on their World of Autumn Tour to support the release of their forthcoming EP The Great Indoors Part III. The boys have agreed to write us an exclusive diary of their tour shenanigans, whilst on their mammoth 18-date jaunt.
Read on to find out more about their tour driver woes and broken bones!
Day 1 – Liverpool
Day one and there has already been enough drama to fill an entire tour. In the 36-hours leading-up to the first sound check three drivers have dropped-out and so we have been forced to call on the services of Campbell and Ollie’s Dad! To make matters worse he has just had his hernia out and Jim our guitarist fell off his bike and has a cracked rib. Also, in the last two days, a company called Uptown who have developed a new biodiesel from leftover cooking oil of London Restaurants have agreed to sponsor the tour with 500 litres of fuel.
There has been alot of running around in order to get from the south coast up to Liverpool on time and ready to rock. As it turns out we had a fantastic time opening up for two great bands the Temps and High school Massacre. Free Rock n Roll is a great night in the manner of what it says on the tin in a lovely venue, which I believe is a communuity project! After the show went on for some hard earned clubbing in Masque with Pete Bentham of Pete Bentham and the Dinner Ladies.
Liverpool: great
Liverpudlians: Very Good
Moneytree’s Performance: OK
Physical Condition: Poor
