UK based promotion Cage Warriors continue to do big things, signing Welterweight fighter Jesse Taylor.
Taylor (20-8)
penned a 3 fight deal with the promotion, entering the Cagewarriors cage for the first time next month. The Team Quest member will meet the CWFC Welterweight Champion Gael Grimaud featuring in the main event of Fight Night 6 , May 3rd in Bahrain. This will be the first title defence since Grimaud won the title in September last year at Fight Night 2. Taylor has fought in a number of the top international promotions including the UFC, DREAM, and Strikeforce, coming to prominence on The Ultimate Fighter season 7 in 2008.
The 29-year-old has recorded notable wins over the likes of Jorge Ortiz, Matt Major (both ex-Bellator), Rico Altamirano (ex-Strikeforce), Drew Fickett, Jason Day, Denis Kang (all ex-UFC), current UFC middleweight Chris Camozzi and top UK star Tom Watson.
“I’m very pleased to be signed with Cage Warriors,” said Taylor. “This is what I do; travel the world, perfecting my craft and collecting belts. It’s all part of my journey to the top and I couldn’t have asked for a better show.”

The promotion announced Tuesday, they have signed a year long deal with broadcasting giant ESPN. The deal results in events being broadcast in Latin America, the Pacific Rim and the Middle East. Increasing global exposure to 105 million homes, bigger than any other non-US promotion.
