Comply or Die
‘Shanghaied’ As a taster of their upcoming second full length ‘Depths’, Comply Or Die offer up
Following on from a split cassette release with Slomatics earlier this year, which showcased the track ‘Vermin’ of the forthcoming second album, ‘Shanghaied’ offers up a different side of the band.
The track is a straight up rock track with driving drums, distortion drenched guitars and rumbling bass all punctuated by split larynx vocals.
Since forming in 2008 Comply Or Die have already released a self titled full length, the ‘Invocation’ EP, the aforementioned split with Slomatics and this year will see the band raise the bar with the release of their album ‘Depths’ expected August 2011.

I have had the opportunity to listen to the new track and it is a doozy. It’s a hardrocking little number with a distinctly punk coating and a resonance that will shake the monkeys from the trees. Like ‘Stiff Little Fingers’ on acid, the boys have laid down some serious beats to surprise, mesmerize and sodomise the senses.
This band has certainly grabbed my attention and I for one will be looking forward to the release of ‘Depths’ in due course.
