Spring has sprung and Easter has come. Love is in the air, everywhere I look around, every sight and every sound. And on Easter Monday the best sights and sounds will be present at Kitsch’s Easter Bunny Ball.
Free bubbly awaits all who come as their favorite bunny be it Bugs, Thumper, Bigwig, Harvey, Frank, The Rabbit of Caerbannog or even Jessica Rabbit. All are welcome as the music will have you hopping mad like the proverbial March Hare.
Reveling in a playlist that straddles the strange, the unique, the sublime and the downright ridiculous, Kitsch has been making Mondays fun for two years. Guilty pleasures and cringe worthy classics bring to light classic pop, disco and hairspray rock tracks.
If some classic 80s pop and 70s disco is not your thing then fear not as we also have happening:
Laverys Back Bar: Uprising reggae ska and dub club
Laverys Public Bar: Trad Music Session
Pavilion Boutique Bar: Revival Mod Club
Pavilion Loft Bar: Big Laughs Comedy Club
Laverys are pleased to announce a Northern Ireland exclusive as Bentley Rhythm Ace will take to the stage in the Bunker on Sat 6th March. For lovers of the “Big Beat” groove Bentleys require no introduction, a live act that can deliver dancefloor beats alongside expert showmanship, their fun and funky music was a highlight of the golden age of Skint records.
Formed in Birmingham by Mike Stokes and ex-Pop Will Eat Itself bassist Richard March the band quickly evolved from a dynamic Dj duo playing funk filled beats spliced with weird and wonderful samples into a formidable live act with a stage show that made them a must see for rockers and ravers alike.
Their self titled debut released by Skint in 1997 remains for many one of the albums of the decade and still sounds fresh today.
This show is a welcome return after a ten year hiatus for a band that defined the parties of a generation.
