KISS Axed from Playing Michael Jackson Tribute
The promoters of the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert have heard fans loud and clear — Gene Simmons, who has accused Michael of being a pedophile, and his band KISS, have been dropped from the roster.
There was a flurry of criticism after TMZ posted a story … that Gene said last year, “There is no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt.”
The promoters tell TMZ, “We have listened to Michael’s fans and are grateful to have been alerted to these unfortunate statements by Gene Simmons. Under the circumstances we fully agree that even though KISS is a band Michael admired we have no choice but to rescind our invitation to them to appear in our tribute concert.”

2011 is set to be a big year for you, touring with JLS and releasing
your album… do you have any ambitions outisde of music that you would like to fulfill over the next 12 months or is this year all about the music?
For me this year all about re-establishing myself in the uk music and also to reach a higher level than before and that is my main priority this year
How has the JLS tour been going do far?
The tour has been AMAZING, its the perfect way to show myself to a new audience and 2 re-introduce myself to ppl who might know me or my songs
Your single Up-tempo Caught Me Slippin features rapping sensation FloRida, is there any musician/artist you would love to perform or record with in the future?
There’s a lot of artist that would be on my wish list but at the moment I’m really feeling the UK collaborations so I’d probably pick a uk artist to work with like skepta, Ndubz or Craig David
You released your first album when you were quite young, did the
writing and recording process for your new album differ to your first?
My first album was released when I was 18 and the songs u wrote were like a product of everything I’d gone thru in my life so I thought in order to make a 2nd album that would be different to the first, I’d like to live a little, gain some life experience and also different writing techniques.
When you were growing up, who or what were your biggest influences
musically or otherwise?
Michael Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, Usher, Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Will Smith and P. Diddy are just a few entertainers that have influenced me
What’s the best album you’ve ever bought, when did you buy it and why is it your favourite?
Missy Elliot- Supa Dupa Fly was my FAVOURITE ALBUM when I was younger. I had it on cassette and what timbaland a missy were doing was so innovative and ahead of its time, it Fascinated me!
Are there any upcoming artists that you love right now and would
reccommend to our readers?
I REALLY Like girl group Ruff Diamondz, watch out for them
