The star studded MTV event will be in Belfast in November, but the arranged after party might have to be an alcohol free zone because on our licensing laws! Our laws state that no booze can be served after midnight on a Sunday.
The awards show will be held in the Odyssey arena with plans to hold the all-night party in surrounding bars.
It has been said that NI should be more flexible for one-off events or festivals.
Event organisers have said “Shutting the bars… isn’t an option and would create enormous problems for the MTV.”
