Fans of Sackboy rejoice as Little Big Planet 2, has just been announced. It is time to get those creative caps on again as this game promises to give you even more tools to create your very own levels and even whole games! Little Big Planet was hugely successful in starting a ‘do it yourself’, trend with console gaming. Nintendo’s latest installment in the Wario Ware series grants you the ability to create your own mini-games while future release ModNation Racers, for PS3, lets you create your own drivers, vehicles and tracks and share these with other players. It is something that we are seeing more and more of, which is a good thing as it gives people the chance to dip their code-fearing toes into game creation and design.
We have managed to get hold of the first trailer for the game, which features some wonderful music, from the game’s developer, Media Molecule’s Youtube page.

In February this year we were given a teaser trailer for the latest installment of the post-apocalyptic, Fallout series. This time you will have to survive in the wastelands of a place better known as, Sin City. Set three years after the events of Fallout 3, this game is not an expansion or sequel, but a spin-off. The story will feature a new batch of characters all ready to tell their story in a bid to seek your help as they try to survive the ravages of war. You won’t even have to escape from your Vault.
Now we are able to share some more details about the game alongside a few screen-shots to wet your post-apocalyptic appetites. Set in New Vegas, Nevada, this once beloved family holiday resort sits on the edge of the war. While a society of some sort will exist and buildings still stand, somewhat better than they did in Washington D.C., the smell of death and destruction will fill the air of the Mojave Desert.
The game begins with a robot finding your character (known simply as, “the Courier”) left for dead in the desert. Upon bringing you back to a local doctor, you are soon patched up and on your feet again. During this section, at the beginning of the game, you will be able to customize your character’s appearance and set certain characteristics as well as starting statistics. Your main mission will no doubt involve finding the people who left you there as you take your first steps into war-torn New Vegas.
New Vegas will see the addition of companions to the game. Players will be given a certain amount of control over the companion’s actions in order to gain more help during missions. On top of the companion wheel, another new addition is the measure of a player’s reputation. This will gauge how your relationship with the various factions is progressing depending on your interactions with them.
For those who thought that Fallout 3 may have been a little too easy, a ‘Hardcore Mode’ has been included. This tougher difficulty setting will make enemies tougher and affect the game play in other ways such as, the length of time for healing and the effectiveness of various medical packs.
The game’s story will centre around two main factions, the New California Republic (NCR), based in the McCarran Airport, and a group of slavers known as Caesar’s Legion. On your journeys around New Vegas you will also run into some old friends, namely the Brotherhood of Steel and Super Mutants. My personal wish is that rad scorpions will not be present. Those dreaded, oversized ants could also be left back in Washington too. The game may allow you to play various factions against one another which again will affect the progress of the story and quests that you will be sent on.
More details will be available as we get closer to the game’s fall release date. For more screen-shots and information visit the official website – Fallout: New Vegas

If you haven’t yet seen the bee-hive haired witch strutting around and pulling moves that puts Ulala and Lara Croft to shame then you’re probably still recovering from whatever happened to you on New Years. Bayonetta’s strong, sleek and oversexed character design aims to give us all a new feminine game hero to admire and play with.
