I have put together my top ten albums of 2009.
It has been a crazy year for music and myself. I’ve never had so many new bands names in my head. It’s odd how much I get songs and bands mixed up at the minute. Like, every time I hear The Temper Traps single, Sweet Disposition I always think it is Wild Beasts. I could go on with more examples of me being an idiot, but I won’t. There have been so many great albums this year and this is really a pleasure to be doing. Ok, so here are my top ten in reverse order and I’m going to make a track from each album downloadable.

Okay, so i blogged these guys a couple of days ago with a sneaky wee download. I had mentioned that Wild Beasts fast became a fav of mine and if i were to pick top 3 albums of the year it would def o be in there. so, that being said I was obviously pleased to hear that they are coming to Belfast to play pretty soon. (Limelight November 4th) Well i have came across a few lovely treats and they have made me fall in love with them even more.
Here is a video of their full set from The Mercury Lounge in New York. I got goose bumps so many times during this set. The duo of vocals play about with the sounds and mood of the songs so much that it gives it such depth that one song could last a lifetime and never get boring. The set never gets dull and is packed with so many great songs with new ideas and such originality. I have truly found one of my favourite bands ever. I don’t doubt that when i see them i will probably pee myself. Wild Beasts in November and Modest Mouse in December, life is so good people! Wild Beasts is a MUST see gig! I can not wait!

It’s that time of year when the album of the year question starts getting tossed around. One album that keep coming up is Two Dancers by Wild Beasts. When i first heard this album it was the first i heard the band. I actually first laughed at the vocals and now its the most played cd in my car. Wild Beasts bring stacks of style and originality with their music and to watch it be transferred to the live stage is going to be awesome!
